Aye, aye, aye. This has been a spinning, crazy week.
Mom and Jim are here visiting while they are staying out of Nicaragua for the required 72 hours until residency is granted. It has been great to visit and catch up with them face to face! No computer monitor to block the hugs. And all the grand kids have enjoyed them being here too. We put the pop up camper up and the kids have been out in the camper at night. They are enjoying that.
Okay...where to begin? Take a deep breath and pray an English teacher doesn't read this run on sentence - Sam and Ben went to church camp for a week and had a great time, the morning they were to return, Maddie left for a mission trip to Canada (http://www.worldchangers.net/), such sadness surrounded each of these as they went for over two weeks without contact - okay, not that much sadness; while Maddie was gone,
Sam and Ben had sports camp with Sports Crusaders (http://www.sportscrusaders.com/) doing soccer camp from 9-noon, a quick sack lunch, and basketball from 1-3p...
these boys were tuckered all week at night and didn't argue about bedtime, Maddie returned from Canada lit up like a Christmas tree with energy that no one should have and then crashed HARD as the lack of sleep caught up to her tired body, after her being home for two days, Mom and Poppy came back for their visit from Nicaragua, they were here for a few days with Sadie coming down for one night to see them and now they are in Topeka, KS seeing family and will return Thursday, meanwhile the big kids and I are involved in Vacation Bible Experience each day this week, Maddie is a helper to one of the 2nd grade groups, I have 5th grade girls and Sam and Ben still get to be kids and enjoy VBE like a kid should; today I got my house extra clean as Ben is earning money for the VBE money collection to support missionaries in Botswana, Africa which we will soon meet in September during our Global Impact Celebration at church hosting active missionaries from all around the world, Jeremiah is staying home with dad time.....(are you out of breath yet?).

He's been fussy and filling his diedee with a special kind of yuck (mama's know exactly what I mean on that one!). His grandma has taught him how to do raspberries and he can soak anyone with his spit that dares to be in a 5' range from his lips! No joke!! He still is not interested in holding his own bottle. He prefers to lounge on a lap and stroke his bottle ever so gingerly while someone else holds him and the bottle!
Our Internet service has been down and the company with whom we had service couldn't get here for over a month. So, we're dropping these guys and have picked up new cell phones which have a cable to plug into the USB port on the computer and presto, I have Internet connection. Faster speed, too! And a much prettier phone.....just gotta figure out how to use it. The kids can show me, I'm sure! The Internet connection is still fairly slow. Trade off for living in the middle of nowhere. I'll take country life and slow Internet speed any day!! If you want to contact me by email, please do so at: mhamblett2@gmail.com.
Veggie garden is good....fresh 'maters, cucumbers, green beans, green bell peppers, squash, zucchini, cantelope, okra, onions, onions, and more onions! Lots of the wildflower seed and perennial flowers from before are keeping the table vase as well as a few small vases here and there freshly stocked with garden picked colors! I even held a bumblebee in my hand, unknowingly. I gently opened my hand when I realized I was buzzing. Thanks to Jerry Seinfeld's work on his recent Bee Movie, I didn't squash the bumblebee or freak out. Just glad it wasn't a snake or spider. That is urgent cause to freak out!
Going to bed. Tomorrow I have another full day planned and it will start early with the watering of a thristy garden in this hot, summer! Gotta love July, right?
