NO STINKIN' WAY....

WAY!

Our little guy is turning big guy one year at time! We celebrated his first birthday. As you can see, he warmed up to the idea of ripping paper to discover; color, texture and noise. The later gaining his attention the quickest. He especially loved the monkey that talks to him in "whooooo-hooooo" sounds, of which we of course, hear him imitate. He also makes a very fun chuckle noise that Jeremiah is fond of.....the batteries may end up under the couch? Maybe.

The big green fluff you see the bottom side up of here, is a BULLFROG from Aunt Sadie. I have no idea where she got him, but how fitting that Jeremiah would have a BULLFROG! (Our name choice was not influenced by 'Three Dog Night' although we are very familiar with the song. In fact, I pulled it up on the Internet so Maddie could hear it. The greatest hits album came up and so I just had to listen to all the cuts, as I once owned and wore out the cassette tape. As I'm croaking out the lyrics, she pulls her head back from me and tilts it to one side and said, 'You really liked this music mom?' To which I had to admit that at one time, yes I did like it. And was a bit irritated now that I knew all of the songs at whatever point Amazon had picked to do the soundbite for each song. Why oh why can't Scripture, which I want to dwell inside stick as easy? How did I get on all that???)
Every birthday boy needs his cake picture right? He did very well. You see, he typically doesn't
eat much unless he has one to input the food into his mouth. He quickly and eagerly will open up his mouth, much like a little bird. It will generally have a demanding noise of "aaaaaah" coming out of it. Directly followed by a hand providing food to him. Who teaches who??? But in the case of his first taste of cake and icing, he learned to feed himself with joy. He grew fond of his '1' candle and liked to place it in his mouth as well. Although none of us really understood WHY he'd opt for wax over the good stuff of cake and icing....

Isn't it wonderful to have your cake and eat it too? He only got a few bites in him. Don't want to spoil his pallet from the usual green beans, carrots and the like!!

Happy Birthday sweet baby boy.
